Monday, 4 August

14:00 – 17:00 h.           Registration of participants IHGC 2025 Hoptour Tourism Office, Grote Markt 1.

19:00 – 23:00 h.          Welcome dinner, Restaurant Palace, Ieperstraat 34.

Tuesday 5 August

09:00 – 12:00 h.          Formal meetings IHGC 2025, Gastrobar CIRK, Burgemeester Bertenplein 7

                                    in Room De Kring, entrance via Priesterstraat.

                                    ° IHGC Economic Commission;

                                    ° Break with coffee and cake;

                                    ° IHGC Executive Committee.

12:15 13:15 h.          Lunch in restaurant De la Paix, Grote Markt 20.

13:30 – 19:00 h.          Excursion by coach to Inagro in Roeselare – Beitem and Saint-Sylvestre-Cappel (France) with consecutive:

                                    ° Presentation on the ongoing research projects “Hopbel 2.0” and “Tomorr’hop”;

                                    ° Visit to the lab and the test fields with new indigenous hop varieties, part of the Hopbel 2.0;

                                    ° Transfer to Saint-Sylvestre-Cappel (France)

                                    ° Visit with explanation on site of the demonstration field as part of the Tomorr’hop project in Saint-Sylvestre-Cappel (France).

20:00 – 23:30 h.         Network barbecue in Skindles Guesthouse, Gasthuisstraat 57. Participants Hoptour 2025 together with the board of mayor and aldermen, hop research staff from Inagro, hop growers

                                    and the members of the Tomorr’hop project.

Wednesday 6 August

09:00 h.                       Gather Vroonhof (Market - Vroonhof)

09:15 h.                       Excursion by coach to Lijssenthoek  with a guided tour at Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery and the Forgotten Railway.

10:15 h.                       Transfer to Brewery Sint-Bernardus with the interactive brewery visit.

12:00 13:30 h.          Degustation with by lunch at Brewery Sint-Bernardus at the 360° rooftop bar ‘BAR BERNARD’ with a splendid panoramic views of the surrounding hop fields.

13:45 – 18.30 h.          Visit to two hop companies in the region.

19:30 – 00:00 h.          Closing banquet in restaurant Palace, Ieperstraat 34.

Accommodation

Each participant is responsible for booking and financially handling his/her overnight stay and hotel accommodation. To help you with this, below is an overview table with a selection of hotels, including their website and the necessary reservation details:

Registration fee

Please note that the registration fee is a package price that covers almost all the costs of the event, with the exception of the accommodation. It is not possible to split the registration fee into separate parts.

The registration fee for delegates or the accompanying person includes:

  • attendance at the meeting and all events from Monday evening to Wednesday evening;
  • coach transfers;
  • coffee breaks, with non-alcoholic drinks and water during the conference;
  • all meals mentioned in the programme outline;
  • but NOT your hotel accommodation + breakfast, which must be booked and paid for by each attendee separately (see under ‘Accommodation’);
  • and NOT your travel costs for getting there.

 

Cancelling your registration and refunding of fees

Following the decisions made at the administrative meeting in 2001, 50 % of the total amount of the fee is not refunded if the registration is cancelled by a participant after 11 July 2025. Cancelling three days before the meeting means no refund of the total amount.

  • Early bird registration deadline: 30 May 2025
  • Free cancellation of registration (at no expense): until 30 June 2025
  • Cancellation fee as of 11 July 2025: 50 % of expenses
  • Cancellation as of 11 July 2025: no refund

Payment of registration fee

Please transfer your registration fee to the bank account of the vzw HOP. Note that if you enroll after May 30th untill July 7th  2025, you will be charged a significantly higher rate. Unfortunately, this is necessary to ensure timely payment by all participants. Make sure the bank account transfer is free of bank charges for the recipient.
